The Loudoun Soccer is proud to present its Mini Soccer Program including:
- Improved Organization/Communications
- Professional Trainers
- Games starting the very first session (U5)
- Team Jersey
- End of the Season Award
Our program is structured and designed specifically for the young player. The philosophy of our program can be summed up in one word- FUN! We have created a safe and positive environment where kids can learn the game of soccer through playful training techniques and team bonding activities. Under the direction of Darryl Gee, founder of the highly renowned Montgomery County SOCCER TOTS Program, we have designed a program that encompasses the use of "small-sided games" and age-appropriate training. The combination of these methods will be the foundation to good habits with the ball, leading to mastery of skills.

Trainers are being provided to make your transition into soccer coaching a smooth and informative one. Please feel free to ask questions and utilize their methods when working with your team.
A Program Coordinator will be on site every session, to ensure proper organization of scheduled events, answer parental questions, and facilitate the timely transition from training to games.
Coaching young children in their first soccer experiences can be a very rewarding. If you have never coached before, but are looking for a way to be involved in your children’s activities, then this is the program for you.
If you do have experience coaching, please take this opportunity to be an example for the newcomers. We are happy to have the solid foundation on which to build. There will be a coach’s meeting prior to the onset of the season where you will be informed on all aspects of the program. It is our sincere hope that, while we are instilling a love for soccer in your child, we are also instilling it in you.

The program will consist of seven sessions. Each session begins with a team visit to a specific training station, where they will work with a professional trainer provided through Darryl Gee’s Soccer Academy. Trainers will focus on basic ball touches stressing movement exploration with the soccer ball. Each of these training sessions will be approximately 25 min. in length for the U5’s and 45 min. for the U4’s. After the training session for the U5’s, the teams will complete the day with a game against their scheduled "opponent". The professional trainers will remain at their fields and will be on hand to assist the coaches with questions or advice for the duration of the games. During the last three weeks of the program, training and games will be turned over exclusively to the coaches, so they may implement what they have learned in the prior weeks.

Program fees include a jersey, professional training and an end of season award. Coaches can access their rosters and schedules online two weeks prior to the first session. Parents will receive an e-mail confirmation that their registration has been received, and can expect a call or an email from their coach about two weeks prior to the start of the season. It is Loudoun Soccer’s intention to provide an extremely FUN, non-stressful environment for the players, which will build your child’s confidence and instill a love of the game.
