Question: Why is Loudoun Soccer changing its uniform?
The company that supplied our reversible jersey has been bought out. Our reversible jersey was custom made by this company and is no longer available.
Question: Why do we have two shirts now, instead of one reversible?
Loudoun Soccer took into account feedback from the last reversible, that it was heavy and hot during the warmer months. With that information and the cost to the consumer, we selected the current kit.
Question: Do we have to buy the new kit?
Yes, these are the new uniforms. The old uniforms are no longer available for sale. Therefore, players are required to purchase the new kit.
Question: What about U6s that were given jerseys in the fall. Will they be given a new one this spring?

Players issued jerseys in the fall will NOT be given a new one, but should wear their old one. (Just as it has happened in the past) NEW players will be issued the old reversible (we have enough left for this season only), and it will be good for the one season. NEXT SEASON, U6 players will need to purchase the new uniforms like the rest of the league

Question: What if a family has multiple kids and has trouble buying new
uniforms for all of them this season (financially)?

We have worked tirelessly to find a product that is high quality, but affordable. Loudoun Soccer is unable to give assistance in the purchase of uniforms, as they are sold by retailers (we are not a middle man anymore.) However, if a family is in need of financial assistance for registrations, they should contact the office.

Question: What if a family isn't sure they will continue in the fall, so they don't want to buy a complete new uniform for one season?

These are the new uniforms; they will need one to participate, just as in any other sport. Individual items might be sold by the retailers however; the ala carte price is much steeper than the kit.

Loudoun soccer has been warning parents and players of this change for three full seasons. This is not a sudden change. We have contracted with our vendor to supply this uniform kit for a minimum of 5 years.
